Synopsis
Lucy lives the normal life of any eight year old burdened with duties and chores: she gets up, brushes her teeth, goes to school, does her homework, helps with the washing up, carries down the garbage, brushes Flinki the dog, watches over her younger brother Paul and generally does, does and does! It simply never ends. With so much to do, it is no wonder that one learns to become inventive or rather - take creative short cuts.
Why on earth unbutton one's coat when it only needs to be buttoned up soon after? How can one reach the garden shed in winter without having to shovel snow? How can one water balcony plants without having to use to cumbersome watering can? There must be a lazier way!
Once Lucy has identified her mission, she gets down to brass tacks! She checks, questions, reflects and tries out all kinds of alternatives. She has an intuitive understanding of technical minutiae, a bent for odd solutions and the courage to try out daring and unconventional ideas.
Lucy does not just introduce a new way of approaching tasks, she in fact re-invents the meaning of laziness. Because Lucy's Laziness has Character! And if she ends up doing ten times the amount of work…well…who said being lazy is easy!
